Day 1

Welcome to Tanzania

  • Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) Tanzania, Africa.

  • A WWTrek representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel, where a group welcome reception will take place.

  • Overnight: Serena Lodge or comparable

  • Meals included: Welcome Reception

Day 2

Tarangire National Park Game Drive

  • After breakfast, we depart for the expansive Tarangire National Park.

  • Visiting during the dry season affords more opportunity to see the largest concentration of wildlife as animals search for water sources.

  • Overnight: Osupuko Lodge or comparable

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 3

Lake Eyasi | Visit the Datoga Tribe

  • After breakfast and a scenic nature walk, we depart Tarangire for Lake Eyasi.

  • This 400 square-mile shallow soda lake presents a more vibrant, tropical, scene.

  • Visit the Datoga Tribe, who, along with the Hadzabe (Bushmen) Tribe have remained especially primitive in comparison to their counterparts.

  • Overnight: Kisima Ngeda Lodge or comparable

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 4

Visit the Hadzabe (Bushmen) Tribe | Transfer to Karatu

  • After breakfast, we depart in the early morning to visit the Hadzabe (Bushmen) Tribe, of which there are less than 300 remaining members. After we learn about the culture of the Bushmen Tribe we will make our way to Karatu.

  • Overnight: Ngorongoro Farmhouse or comparable

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 5 - 7

Serengeti National Park Game Drive

  • Enjoy breakfast within the Ngorongoro Conservation area before heading for Serengeti National Park, which has some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing in the world.

  • Continuing further into the heart of Africa, our drive will be scenic and comfortable as we make our way through the countryside.

  • We will dedicate two days to exploring the famed Serengeti National Park.

  • Overnight: Serena Lodge or comparable

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 8

Transfer from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • Tour the Serengeti National Park one final time on a morning game drive.

  • Afterward, we will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the most concentrated wildlife area and the world’s largest unbroken caldera.

  • Overnight: Ngorongoro Farmhouse or comparable

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 9

Ngorongoro Crater Tour | Transfer to Lake Manyara

  • Spend the day driving the world’s largest crater looking for the opportunity to experience the wildlife of Africa firsthand.

  • We will keep a relaxed, comfortable, and safe pace as we make our tour to Lake Manyara.

  • Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or comparable

  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Celebration Dinner

Day 10

Lake Manyara NP Game Drive | Visit KKC | International Departure

  • We will spend the morning on a game drive through the diverse Lake Manyara National Park.

  • There will be a chance to see impressively tusked elephants, giraffes, hundreds of baboons and blue monkeys, thousands of flamingos, and Lake Manyara’s renowned tree-climbing lions.

  • Travel to Moshi and visit the Kilimanjaro Kids Community (KKC). We will give you a tour of the orphanage and have time to play with the children.

  • After we say our goodbyes to the staff and children of KKC, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home or your onward travel. (JRO)
